La Bastide 1830 is a former 19th-century farmhouse and the original bastide of the estate. It is flexible in layout and can be rented with 2 to 4 bedrooms (each bedroom has its own private bathroom).
With a total surface area of 140 m², it includes a separate kitchen, dining room, a reading/TV lounge, 4 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests.
A large terrace allows you to enjoy outdoor meals with a stunning view of the Grand Luberon.
The 5,000 m² garden opens onto a 2-hectare meadow.
Wi-Fi, air conditioning, wood-burning stove, and a modern Pleyel piano are all available.
The Bastide 1830’s parking area is equipped with an electric vehicle charging station.

Spacious living area with dining room, equipped with a wood-burning stove and a tuned Pleyel piano, and a lounge with sofas and a TV.
Fully equipped separate kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven, stovetop, extractor hood, electric coffee maker, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, microwave, pressure cooker, and tableware and cutlery for 8 people.
AIR-CONDITIONED FIRST FLOOR ROOM
Air-conditioned bedroom with a 180×200 cm bed and built-in wardrobes. Spacious bathroom with double sink, walk-in shower, heated towel rail with fan, and toilet.
Separate toilet with hand basin.
This part of the house is fully air-conditioned, providing extra comfort during hot summer days. Nights remain naturally cool.
GARDEN LEVEL BEDROOM
An internal staircase leads to a master suite on the garden level with its own private terrace: one 160×200 cm bed.
En-suite bathroom with bathtub, sink, and toilet.

Walk-in closet and storage space.
MASTER SUITE ON THE GARDEN LEVEL
The garden level also includes an additional master suite (with exposed stone walls) and its own private south-facing entrance. It features a 180×200 cm bed, storage space, and an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet.

Another bedroom with its own private south-facing entrance includes two 90×200 cm single beds, a small chest of drawers, and an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet.

Outdoors & Gardens
Outside, enjoy a private 5,000 m² garden with no overlooking neighbors, opening onto the meadow and offering breathtaking views of the Luberon mountain range.
A lovely shaded terrace allows you to enjoy meals Provençal-style, and two additional terraces are perfect for sunbathing.
Private fenced pool (8.5 x 5.5 m, depth: 1.30 m), heated and open from May 1st to mid-September, weather permitting.
Please note that the garden of La Bastide 1830 is not fenced, so pets are not allowed.
The estate also offers a badminton court, a shaded pétanque court, and a shared swimming pool (12 x 8 meters).

Brigitte was the perfect host! We loved staying here it was amazing! So peaceful, spacious and just what we needed for our family of 6 plus baby . There was plenty of room and the “chateau” was so big it felt like we all had a house each! We will definitely be back and have recommended this beautiful home to all our friends and family. Cereste is a beautiful French village in the South of France and it is the perfect location to explore other areas in the south of France. Thankyou Brigitte for everything. We had a last minute change of plans and were fortunate to find this lovely gite where we spent a very happy week in the sun lazing around our private pool in this quiet and beautiful area.
Brigitte and Jean Louis were the perfect hosts who were able to answer our many questions in English as unfortunately our French is not up to scratch! They were unobtrusive but always on hand if we needed anything.
The accommodation is spacious, spotlessly clean and has everything needed to live comfortably. Many thanks!

It’s sounds cliched to write “our hosts were so welcoming”, however, this is simply the case, l have not stayed at a more hospitable place. Brigitte and Jean-Louis are just great people that clearly enjoy life and helping people experience a great holiday.
The property has stunning views for your morning coffee or evening wine. It’s also within driving distance from some amazing towns like lourmarin and Gordes. The house is very peaceful due to its location. Having a car I feel is a must. There is a nice pool on the property too. Cereste is a quiet town (very quiet) but Apt is about 15 mins away for groceries etc. There is a smaller supermarket in cereste so you won’t go without
Brigitte is super quick to respond to help with anything you need.
Recommend and would go back without question.
