Who are we?
Brigitte and Jean-Louis chose to settle in the Luberon in the year 2000, the year their fourth child was born, after spending about fifteen years in Lyon and pursuing careers in Consulting and Training.
They were captivated by the exceptional view of the Grand Luberon, the surrounding hilltop villages, and the beauty of the Provençal countryside.
The location is also ideal due to its proximity to major landmarks of the Luberon Regional Natural Park, such as the Gorges of Oppedette, the Ochres of Roussillon, the Provençal Colorado in Rustrel, and the remarkable villages of Bonnieux, Ménerbes, and Gordes — as well as the beautiful cities of Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. From Céreste-en-Luberon, it’s also easy to explore the Gorges du Verdon, the Alpilles, Mont Ventoux, and Sainte-Victoire.
The region is also renowned for its vibrant cultural life, with theatre and music festivals, artistic creations in pottery and ceramics, not to mention its gastronomy and vineyards.
We are well connected via the A7 motorway (exits Avignon Sud or Cavaillon) and the A51 (exits Manosque or Forcalquier). We’re just over an hour’s drive from the TGV train stations in Avignon and Aix-en-Provence. The airports of Marseille and Nice allow our guests to rent a car and begin discovering our beautiful landscapes as soon as they arrive.
On-site, we offer four Gîtes de France-labeled holiday homes, each accommodating 4 to 8 people. They are usually rented separately but can also be combined to host gatherings of 10 to 15 people — perfect for family celebrations or reunions with friends in a beautiful setting.
Three of the gîtes share a large, secure swimming pool (8 x 12 meters), in full compliance with safety regulations.
La Bastide 1830 has its own private, heated pool.
Our gardens are carefully designed and maintained, and include a pétanque court and a badminton court.
